Development Plan of Georgian Mountain Resort Gudauri
Tbilisi City Hall launched the implementation of the Development Project of Georgian Mountain Resort GUDAURI aimed at its popularization and boosting investment potential there. As a result, the number of tourists in GUDAURI will increase significantly, new job places will be created and consequently the income rate of the local population will be raised. The Development Project intends to facilitate full-scale operation of Sport Schools in the resort, development of local Infrastructure, which will enable the resort to host International Ski Competitions. Within the framework of the Project, old ski trails are to be repaired and lifts upgraded, as well as new ones constructed and installed, roads meeting European standards will be constructed, the place will be provided with regular electricity and water supply, cleaning service will be set up, designated territories will be allocated for parking purposes, medical emergency, relief and rescue teams and fire brigades services will be operating 24 hour in the resort. In addition, Tbilisi City Hall shall insure the provision of modern snow machines in GUDAURI, as well as arrangement of various entertaining centers and set up of wireless internet systems throughout the entire territory of the resort. Presentation of the Development Project of Mountain Resort GUDAURI was held in Hotel GUDAURI and attended by the invited experts, sportsmen, journalists and businessmen. Famous alpine ski racer, the winner of three Olympic gold medals, two times World Champion – ALBERTO TOMBA was among the guests. The primary aim of foreign experts is the popularization of Mountain Resort GUDAURI and attraction of investments in the Country.
