Metekhi at the night
The narrowest part of the river Mtkvari is at Metechi bridge, in the old the city, where its width is 30-40 m. The average fall of the river does not exceed 60 meters.
A hydropower station on the Mtkvari was built in Ortachala and the river is dammed in the central part of the city.
